A calf problem has seen influential midfielder Jack Grealish miss Aston Villa’s last three matches in the Championship.
Indeed, the 22-year-old, who is valued at £4.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has not represented Steve Bruce’s side since the 2-0 win over Birmingham City on February 11.
Villa have lost to Fulham, drawn with Preston North End and beaten Sheffield Wednesday in the absence of a player that has one goal and six assists to his name this season.
It is thought that Grealish has a chance of being fit for Villa’s Championship clash against Queens Park Rangers this weekend, and the club’s supporters are desperate for that to be the case.
Villa are currently third in the Championship – four points behind second-placed Cardiff City as the battle for automatic promotion hots up. Derby County, meanwhile, are just three points off Villa in fourth position.
