Manchester United and Chelsea are both monitoring the progress of AC Milan sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to reports from SportMediaset.
The 17-year-old is currently one of the most talked about young players in European football and has broken records already in his fledgling career.

Indeed, the teenager is the youngest goalkeeper to ever feature in Serie A and holds the same record for the Italian national team.
And his rise hasn’t gone unnoticed, with SportMediaset claiming the rookie stopper is wanted by both Chelsea and Man United.
The Italian outlet, while talking about Milan’s plans to extend Donnarumma’s contract at the San Siro, reveal both Premier League sides, as well as Real Madrid, are keeping a close eye on the starlet’s progress.
Is he worth it?
As the stats (via Squawka) show, despite his age, Donnarumma is competing with two of the best goalkeepers around. Okay, the caveats of Serie A vs. Premier League football and the differences in style have to be taken into account, but Donnarumma’s saves-per-game and goals conceded returns are impressive – whilst his passing accuracy is also notable.
Where would he fit at Chelsea or Man United?
As long as Thibaut Courtois and David de Gea remain at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford respectively, it’s hard to see Donnarumma fitting in at either club.
However, there has been no shortage of rumours surrounding both players over the last year or so and given his age, Donnarumma is perfect ‘replacement material’. Standing at 6’5” already, the Italian also has the towering presence needed in the Premier League, while he’s likely to improve dramatically over the coming years as he matures both physically and in terms of footballing intelligence.
