Loads of Liverpool fans took aim at Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling after claiming that his side has been shown a lack of respect in comparison to the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are dominating the Premier League this season and are way ahead of the blue half of Manchester as they chase their first domestic title in 30 years. Having already won the Champions League, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup, Liverpool look destined to add the long-awaited trophy to their list of achievements.
Sterling, who was at Anfield for four seasons, told AS that his team have not had the credit that they deserve after winning four trophies last season. He feels that, with no City players picking up the Ballon d’Or or PFA Player of the Years awards, they aren’t treated in the same way that Liverpool players are. This did not get a good reaction from the Kop faithful as they made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described him as a “constant complainer” and added that he is glad that Sterling is not at Anfield anymore.
