According to reports in The Mirror, Tottenham Hotpsur are prepared to sell midfielder Mousa Dembele, who is earning £80,000-a-week according to a report in The Sun in February, this summer if they receive an acceptable offer.
What’s the word, then?
Well, The Mirror says that despite the Belgian being one of the north London outfit’s standout performers in 2018 in both the Premier League and the Champions League, they would be willing to let him go at the end of the season for the right price.
The 30-year-old’s contract runs out next summer and the Belgium international has insisted that any talks over extending his stay with Spurs are put on hold until after the 2018 World Cup, having already been linked with a move to Juventus.
The Mirror adds that the midfielder was targeted by some Chinese Super League clubs earlier this season, and fresh bids from Asia are expected this summer.
How has Dembele done this season?
With Victor Wanyama missing a large chunk of the campaign through injury the Belgian has been a regular in the middle of the park for Tottenham, and while he perhaps wasn’t at the level he was capable at the end of 2017, he certainly has been this year and shown just how influential he is for this Spurs side.

The 30-year-old put in dominant displays against the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League in January and February, while he also impressed in his side’s 2-2 draw against Juventus in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie against Juventus.
Should Tottenham sell him this summer?
While he is a player that continues to impress in the middle and is able to dictate the play, he will turn 31 in July and it is no surprise that if the north London outfit receive a decent offer for a player that has 12 months left on his contract this summer, they would be willing to accept it.
Mauricio Pochettino may want to start looking to the future and trying to find a long-term replacement for the Belgian, with Harry Winks, rated at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, one of the current Spurs players that will be looking for more playing time in that position.
If they can sell him for a big price and give more minutes on the pitch to Winks or bring in a decent replacement then they should do it, but if not they should look to keep hold of him for at least another year.
